What a great night! Thanks to all of you, we managed to raise:

This money will go a long way towards redecoration of the school hall.
We want to say thank you to everyone for making this such a special evening. Children, you were amazing and parents/carers, than you for all your support!

Patty and everyone at Snow Business – For making us believe it was snowing …even if it was just in a corner of the playground!
Finally, a special thank you to the children who did the musical performances on the night. You did a fantastic job and were the highlight of the evening.
The Christmas Bazaar is one of our main fundraising events of the year…and we smashed it. Thank you.

So far, this term we have raised £2002 against our target of £1500.

As a result of the successful toy sale last term, we have been able to buy the following things for the forest school:

- Air dry clay
Raise Funds By Recycling
TerraCycle offers free recycling programmes funded by brands, manufacturers, and retailers around the world to help collect and recycle your hard-to-recycle waste. Snow Business has kindly offered to sponsor the PTA to collect biscuit and snack wrappers and writing instruments. This means that as we recycle we will be rewarded with TerraCycle points. These points are redeemable for cash or charitable gifts for the school.
We will be putting out recycling bins shortly.
What we can recycle
Biscuit and Snacks – all cake, non-savoury biscuit and all brands of cracker wrappers
Writing instruments –All writing instruments (except for wooden pencils and chalk) are accepted: Any brand of pen, felt tip, highlighter, marker, correction fluid pot, correction tape, mechanical pencil and eraser pen regardless of their composition.

Christmas Greenery Sale
We will be selling Christmas greenery decorations (wreaths etc) during the week of 10th December. This means we have to forage some greenery and create things to sell. Anyone who can help is invited to come along to the School (with a bottle of wine if you like) on 10th December from 7.30pm to help make things for our sale.
Christmas Bazaar – 30th November 4.30 – 7pm
We really need help to make this happen. If you are able to offer any time before, during or after the Bazaar, you can:
- Speak to one of your class reps or PTA committee member
- Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or
- Put your name down using link on PTA Facebook page
We also need contributions for the stalls as follows:
- Bottles of Wine or Chocolate – please bring in a bottle of wine or box of chocolates on
23rd November which will be a non-school uniform day.
- Contributions to a class hamper which will form part of the raffle (in school entrance now)
- Teddies for our teddy tombola (including pre-loved but in good condition)
Please bring these in the week of 26th November.
Tickets to see Santa at the Bazaar are on a first come/first served basis. Tickets will be on sale in the playground from Claire Farmer (Isaac and Jacob’s mum). The cost is £3.50 per child.
- Raffle tickets will be sent out via book bags shortly. Money and ticket stubs or unused tickets should be returned to one of the PTA committee, class rep or school office by 29th Nov.
Bags2School – Friday 16th November
This is a real opportunity to have a clear out of old clothes and raise funds for the PTA. You will receive a bag and instructions in your child’s book bag. The PTA receives £400 per tonne.
Bring your full bags to school on the morning of FRIDAY16th November – they can be left in the coned off area of the staff car park BEFORE 9.00am when the van will be there to collect.

Heather is looking to hand over this task to a new volunteer who would like to support the school and our newly elected PTA. This collection brings in around £600-£700 per year for PTA funds. PTA Clothes Swap: Wednesday 14th November: 7.30 - 10pm
If you have any good quality clothes, shoes and accessories (adult or children), please donate them for our PTA Clothes Swap. Donations for the clothes swap can be made from Monday 12th November and should be taken to the room next to the hall. Any spare hangers that you no longer use would be useful too.
By buying a ticket you can come along on 14th and pick up unlimited clothes from the donations we receive. You also get a glass of fizz and a raffle ticket.
Tickets are £8.

There will also be collection box for unwanted bras to send to charity smallsforall.org.
All un-swapped clothes will automatically be donated to the Bags2school collection or you can retrieve anything you wish to keep at the end of the evening.
A big thank you to all of you from all of us on the PTA committee. It has been fantastic to see so many people at the meetings and offering support and help. As a new team we really appreciate having you all with us to help make our fundraising a success.
Remember that all parents/carers are automatically part of the PTA.
The committee are just the formal bit for the purposes of the charity and to try and help organise and communicate activities.
