FAITH ENCOUNTERS ART COMPETITION
Celebrating, using and enjoying our gifts and talents

Celebrating and using our gifts and talents - "As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God." 1 Peter 4:10
We recently put our creative talents to good use by entering a Faith Encounters art competition. The children were encouraged to express religiion through art. Artwork could relate to any religion but had to link to the religious text.
In this period of Lent, many of the children at Woodchester Endowed Church of England Primary School decided to link this to the Christian story of Easter. We're sure you'll agree the artwork created demonstrates pride, hard work, quiet confidence and a sense of achievement. Many congratulations to Poppy in Year 6 whose art work was selected for a special overall prize - a beautiful painting representing creation and reflecting the glory and richness of God's world.
Swirl of Creation, "Let there be light"
Palm Sun, people are holding the palms over the cross and over the sunset. The cross represents Jesus and a beautiful sun.
Palm Sunday - Capturing the expressions and emotions of the people in the crowd on Palm Sunday.
A Splash of Greenery
God spoke, "Earth, green up! Grow all varieties of seed-bearing plants, every sort of fruit bearing tree."
