Home Working

There have been so many changes to the way we are all living our lives and it is difficult to comprehend just how quickly this has happened and in such a short space of time.  I am very grateful to members of our school, parents and carers, church and local community for the way in which all have come together to support one another and the children in our care.

I know the teachers have been in touch with our families and that they have set up a variety of home learning activities and ideas for children to enjoy and these can be found on dropbox.  A large number of you have shared photographs and videos through various means including email, Class Dojo and Tapestry.  It is very uplifting for us all to look at the photos of the children with their family, proud of what they have achieved or just simply enjoying some special family time.  We will be looking at ways of celebrating some of these wonderful moments more widely on our website this week so please keep in touch and continue to share these precious moments.

You have been giving your children some amazing opportunities, all of which is learning.  Examples I have seen just this week include maths problem solving, story writing, recipe design, imaginative art, singing, exploring nature, enjoying the environment to name just a few.  You are getting it right; there is a balance to be made so be kind to yourself.

Under the Home Learning tab of the website, you will find some further information that might be useful during this unprecedented time.  There are links to some excellent webistes to help with home learning and on the front page of the website I continue to upload the most up-to-date documents from the Department for Education and important reminders about safeguarding the whole school community.

I am praying that we all return to school very quickly and I cannot wait to see you all again, hopefully, in the not too distant future.  In the meantime, if there is anything further we can do to support you and your child or children, please do get in touch with the class teacher.

Take care and stay safe,

Mrs Pennington

A message to all our children and families.
