SIAMS Report 2017
As a 'voluntary aided' school, Woodchester Endowed is also subject to a Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS), with the last inspection taking place in 2017 when the school was found to be 'outstanding'.
"Fundamental to the outstanding nature of this church school is the clarity and strength of the headteacher’s vision for it as a Christian learning community. The way in which he brings together his understanding of the Christian Gospel with an educational philosophy that focuses on the value and worth of every individual creates a culture in which all are enabled to flourish as unique individuals made in the image of God. This is evident, for example, in the way in which all children from an early age are encouraged and enabled to be independent learners, with a freedom and creativity of thought and opinion. They are supported in their development of this, challenged to stretch themselves and to achieve highly across the curriculum. Within this culture of challenge and achievement, all children also know that they are valued simply for being themselves and, as a result, they give and receive love with confidence and self-belief."
